Tony Albert: Visible Resources
When
2 Jun – 7 Oct 2018
Where
Queensland Art Gallery, Gallery 4
‘Visible’ surveys the work of Tony Albert, one of the most exciting young Indigenous Australian artists working today. All aspects of his practice — from object-based assemblages, to painting, photography, video and installation — provide a powerful response to the misrepresentation of Australia’s First Peoples in popular and collectible imagery.
Resources
The student resource explores Tony Albert's art practice and includes questions and activities for investigating key themes before, during and after an exhibition visit. The teacher notes include curriculum links and strategies for in-gallery and classroom learning.
Teachers are advised that an artwork in this exhibition contains explicit language.
