Each year, this exhibition recognises the outstanding achievements of art students from secondary schools throughout Queensland, including those in regional and remote communities. An initiative of the Department of Education and Training, the 'Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art' invite the submission of paintings, sculptures, works on paper and new media. Short-listed artworks are showcased in regional exhibitions, with the winners subsequently displayed at GOMA.
