On Saturday 15 January 2011, Queenslanders are invited to participate in a free day of activities at their local galleries and community centres simultaneously with the Gallery , as part of the exhibition '21st Century: Art in the First Decade' and 21st Century Kids Summer Festival.
21st Century Kids Summer Festival on Tour will feature interactive activities for children and families by artists in the exhibition including Fiona Hall (Australia), Tony Albert (Australia) and Rirkrit Tiravanija (Thailand). The projects have been developed to reflect the themes of the '21st Century' exhibition, offering children and families insights into contemporary international art created in the past decade.
