Kid's APT was one of the most appealing elements of the 'Asia-Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art'. For the first time, leading international artists worked with the Gallery's education staff to develop vital activities for children to enhance their understanding of the works in the exhibition, and engage adults as well. Acclaimed Chinese artist, Cai Guo Qiang designed a traditional bamboo bridge that spanned the Gallery's famous watermall, and then encouraged kids to make their own miniature versions. Thousands of kids took up the challenge, and learned that engineering is as much an art as it is a science!
