Each year, the 'Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art' recognises and celebrates the artistic achievements and creative talents of senior high school students from across Queensland.

This exhibition showcases the work of the 33 excellence award recipients selected in 2019 from almost 400 entries submitted by students from metropolitan and regional schools throughout the state.

The 'Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art' is an initiative of the Queensland Department of Education, supported by the Queensland Art Gallery ǀ Gallery of Modern Art and QSuper.

The exhibition ‘Creative Generation 2020’, planned for display at GOMA in April, is unable to proceed as the Gallery is closed during the COVID-19 response.
