Join Triennial artist Sancintya Mohini Simpson for a performance of An exhalation: communicating with my ancestors through DNA and an ocean re-remembered 2023–ongoing. Through deep exaltation, she will undertake a ‘body practice’ that allows for a re-remembering of an ocean. This performance uses experimental sound and the body to provide a space for sonic remembering and reflection. This experimental sound performance incorporates stainless steel vessels, water, salt, the body, and breath, creating space to connect with ancestors by reimagining and recreating an ocean space.
