Meet the Author: Margaret Cook A Members Book Club Event
When
5.30 – 6.15 pm, Wed 10 Jun 2020About
Join historian and author Margaret Cook for an online illustrated discussion about her latest book offering a compelling history of floods in the Brisbane River catchment, A River with a City Problem (2019). Extensively researched, the book highlights the force of nature, the vagaries of politics and the power of community. With many river cities facing urban development challenges, Cook makes a convincing argument for what must change to prevent further tragedy. A River with a City Problem will be discussed in the Members Virtual Book Club in June.
