What to Expect

This program is designed for children of primary school age, however we welcome families with younger or older children who wish to participate. If you have any access needs or other queries about the event, please don’t hesitate to contact childrensartcentre@qagoma.qld.gov.au in advance of the program. Find out more about Accessibility at QAGOMA and planning your visit.

Sensory aspects

  • A hearing loop is available on request. Please let us know in advance if you or your child are hard of hearing so we can make this tour accessible for you
  • We are likely to encounter pedestrians, traffic and ambient noise as we move through the city
  • Hot, sunny weather is expected. We recommend bringing sun protection with you
  • The tour will go ahead in light rain but may be postponed or cancelled if heavy rain or exceedingly hot conditions occur

Participation and content

  • The tour involves walking at a gentle pace on mostly flat ground
  • There are four different stops to look at artworks
  • The total distance covered is approximately 1 kilometre
  • Please anticipate being on your feet for the duration of the tour

Food and drink

We recommend bringing a water bottle with you. You may also wish to bring a snack.

Capacity

Each tour has a maximum capacity of 20 participants.
