About
Join Triennial artist, Joydeb Roaja for a talk about his series The future of indigenous peoples 2024.
Roaja belongs to the Tripura community, one of the eleven different indigenous peoples who live in the Chittagong Hill Tracts in south-eastern Bangladesh. His figurative painting and multidisciplinary performance practice expresses his peoples’ symbiotic relationships to nature and the fraught history of land and human rights in the region.
Hosted by Tarun Nagesh, Curatorial Manager of Asian & Pacific Art, QAGOMA.
