Michelangelo Antonioni's Zabriskie Point champions a counter culture in which the antidote to materialism can be found in the barren landscapes of Death Valley. Set in 1960s, it follows a young radical Mark (Mark Frenchette) who is on the run from the police and makes for Death Valley where he meets the woman who will lead him to an epiphany – hippie chick Daria (Daria Halprin). A cult classic, this head-trip of a film is driven by a soundtrack that includes Pink Floyd and Grateful Dead.
