About
Written by Abbas Kiarostami, Iranian film Willow and Wind is the tense tale of a young boy who must fix a window he accidentally broke at his school. To do so, he must obtain and walk a large pane of glass across his village during a fierce rainstorm in order to make the repair himself.
An engrossing parable shot with realist simplicity yet guided by its own dream logic, Mohammad-Ali Talebi’s film is a poetic study of the vulnerability of childhood and perseverance in the face of overwhelming obstacles.
