After a bloody evening on a moored freighter, Roger 'Verbal' Kint (Kevin Spacey) is brought into custody. During his interrogation he reveals the elaborate tale of how a group of thieves were brought together on trumped-up charges and used their time in jail to plan an ingenious heist. Director Bryan Singer and writer Christopher McQuarrie weave together an intricate chain of flashbacks with an impressive cast of players, including Gabriel Byrne, Pete Postlethwaite, Stephen Baldwin and Benicio Del Toro. Kint's recollections are made with ample amounts of half-truths and lies, leaving the viewer to decipher the real motives behind the crime, as well as the identity of criminal mastermind Keyser Söze who looms over the film's events.
