Led by three legends of Old Hollywood – Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn and James Stewart – The Philadelphia Story is a rollicking comedy of manners and one of the most celebrated of all screwball films. Hepburn stars as Tracy Lord, a socialite scion who two years prior divorced her first husband CK Dexter Haven (Grant). Preparing to remarry, the return of her ex-husband and the arrival of charming newspaper reporter Mike Connor (Stewart, in an Oscar-winning turn) throws her plans into disarray. A tremendous hit upon its release, the film revived Hepburn’s career and remains a sparkling romantic joy for the ages.
