Join us for a free screening of The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks 2017, exploring the true story of an African-American woman who became the unwitting pioneer for medical breakthroughs when her cells are used to create the first immortal human cell line in the early 1950s. This special event screening will be followed by a talk by research scientist Professor Jennifer Stow (University of Queensland) who will discuss the incredible impact Henrietta Lacks's cells have had on cancer research.
