About
Sherpa is a documentary that uncovers the unequal relationships between the Sherpa community who guide up Mt Everest and the wealthy mountaineers who push the guides into unsafe situations to achieve their dreams of scaling the world's biggest peak. Incredibly majestic scenery of the Himalayas is contrasted by intimate interviews with the families of Sherpas. The Sherpas voice the contrasting views of those who scale the mountain – the incoming climbers who see it as a physical challenge and the Sherpas who regard it as sacred.
