About
Starring titan of French cinema Jean Gabin, Jean Grémillon's Remorques is a melancholy portrait of tugboat captain André Laurent, who is torn between his dangerous work and his tranquil home life with his wife Yvonne. When André rescues the mysterious Catherine during a storm, he finds himself tempted by the possibilities of an affair. Co-written by Jacques Prévert, Remorques is an entrancing melodrama of the highest order.
