About
Orpheus will screen from a 2K digital restoration.
Jean Cocteau’s lyrical retelling of the Greek myth stars the ever-dashing Jean Marais – Cocteau’s longtime muse and lover – as Orpheus, a famous poet, who moves through a dream-like Underworld for his mysterious Eurydice in this labyrinthine tale of mirrors (and two motorcycles: a1937 Chief and a 1940 Sport Scout). Orpheus is a surrealist masterpiece and one of the seminal pieces of French cinema.
