About

Night Tide is a singular, beguiling slice of 1960s American independent cinema. Sailor Johnny Drake (Dennis Hopper, in one of his first roles) falls for the mysterious Mora (Linda Lawson) while on shore leave in San Diego. Mora works as a mermaid at a local carnival and Johnny finds that her allure may have its own supernatural power.

Night Tide was restored in 2008 by the Academy Film Archive with support from The Film Foundation and Curtis Harrington
