About
A radiant Emmanuelle Béart stars as the titular Manon in this sequel to Jean de Florette. A young girl in the first film, Manon now returns to the village which caused such heartbreak for her family. Set against an exquisite backdrop of fields bursting with red carnations, spindly olive trees and rocky slopes growing with wild thyme, both films were shot simultaneously in a 7-month production, together forming, an epic drama that moves towards poetic yet tragic justice.
