About

Gemma is a roboticist at ultra-modern toy company Funki. She has been quietly working on what she hopes will be a major breakthrough in the toy-tech market: an AI-powered robot doll codenamed M3GAN. Bonding with Gemma’s vulnerable niece Cody, M3GAN quickly impresses Gemma’s superiors as she develops new skills and learns from the world around her. But she grows closer with Cody, M3GAN’s bond takes a deadly turn. A campy horror treat, Gerard Johnstone’s film explores the potential dangers of artificial intelligence with knife in hand and tongue in cheek.
