About
Presented as part of ‘Melting into Air’, experience a Live Music & Film screening of the classic wartime epic Wings 1927.
The first film to receive the Academy Award for Best Picture, Wings follows two hometown friends who enlist to become combat pilots during the First World War. When not battling the enemy in the sky, they scheme against each other to win the heart of the woman they both love. Throughout their adventures, they encounter danger, romance and tragedy in a sensationally spectacular Hollywood blockbuster.
David Bailey will provide live musical accompaniment to the screening on the Gallery’s 1929 Wurlitzer organ.
