About
Often cited as one of the greatest films ever made, Jean Vigo’s French classic L’Atalante is the extraordinary and melancholy portrait of newly married couple Juliette and Jean’s life on board the titular barge. As the boat makes its way along the Seine, Juliette finds herself increasingly stifled by the monotony of nautical life and longs to enjoy the glamour and promise of life in Paris.
