About
Presented in partnership with the Goethe-Institut, this special live music-and-film event brings together the virtuoso musicians of the Sydney-based contemporary chamber group Ensemble Offspring and FW Murnau’s iconic silent film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror 1922.
Teaming up with nationally renowned composer Christopher Tonkin, Ensemble Offspring will present a newly devised live score alongside a screening of Murnau’s expressionistic adaptation of Bram Stoker’s gothic tale ‘Dracula’. Often cited as the first vampire film, Nosferatu remains one of the most significant classics of horror cinema.
