About
Jackie Brown (Pam Grier) is a middle-aged flight attendant and small-time criminal. When the FBI arrests her for smuggling drugs and money, she agrees to set up her boss Ordell (Samuel L Jackson) in exchange for immunity. Fearing Jackie has turned snitch, Ordell makes arrangements to take her out. Adapted from Elmore Leonard's 1992 hardboiled crime novel "Rum Punch", Tarantino's third feature is an eclectic caper full of delicious double and triple crossings. The plot's intersecting scams involve an impressive supporting cast that includes Michael Keaton, Bridget Fonda, Robert De Niro and Chris Tucker. Pam Grier, legend of 1970s Blaxploitation films, shines as the no-nonsense Jackie, intent on outsmarting everyone and escaping with a bag of money.
