After an accident claims the death of his sister-in-law, Thiện (Lê Phong Vũ) assumes temporary custody of his five-year-old nephew Đạo (Nguyễn Thịnh). During the religious burial and mourning period of Đạo’s mother at her home village, Thiện attempts to find his brother, Đạo’s biological father, hoping to reunite him with his son and to understand the truth behind his disappearance.
