About
In Julia Docournau's stylistic debut feature, a first-year veterinary student and life-long vegetarian discovers a taste for flesh after her older sister forces her to eat raw meat as part of a hazing ritual. Her awakening hunger ignites a strange and volatile bond between sisters. This extraordinary female-led cannibal film won the FIPRESCI Prize at the Cannes International Film Festival and during early screenings at the Toronto International Film Festival, some viewers received emergency attention after allegedly fainting from the film's more intense scenes.
