Set in the subtropical idyll of Queensland’s Gold Coast, Goodbye Paradise finds former police officer Michael Stacey (Ray Barrett) authoring a memoir about the corruption he encountered during his time as a cop. With the funds for his book contract suddenly pulled, he takes on a job tracking down a stolen painting for a wealthy Senator – but soon finds events escalating far beyond what he could have predicted.

Sun-soaked and sleazy, this Oz noir uses the structure of a Raymond Chandler detective story to tackle police corruption and political skulduggery.
