About
Declared the 'best film of the past 125 years' by Thai auteur Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Goodbye, Dragon Inn is a poetic depiction of the final hours of a Taipei movie house. As one last screening of King Hu’s wuxia classic Dragon Inn 1967 plays across the screen, the remaining staff tend to their duties while the few audience members have their own unique experiences, both ethereal and deeply human. Widely regarded as one of the major achievements of filmmaking of the new millennium, Tsai Ming-liang’s film is a hypnotic elegy to the both solitary and communal act of cinema-going, and the joys and sadnesses of the dreams it creates.
