About

Billed as the ultimate (heterosexual) love story, Hungarian director György Pàlfi's feature-length supercut draws together brief fragments from over 450 films. Spending over three years in the editing room, Pàlfi has assembled an exhaustive study of the narrative tropes for depicting romance, courtship and intimacy onscreen. Characters are born, grow up, fall in love, marry, and move into domestic life: Alain Delon exchanges glances with Marilyn Monroe, while Jackie Chan springs to the rescue of Jeanne Moreau.
