About
Robin Williams leads Peter Weir’s esteemed drama Dead Poets Society. Set in 1959, the film follows a group of teenage boys studying at the elite New England boarding school of Welton Academy. Williams plays the vivacious English teacher John Keating, whose passionate and unique methods of teaching attracts the ire of the stuffy headmaster governing the school. John Seale’s cinematography delivers arresting autumnal tones throughout this inspiring story about rejecting convention and finding one’s own voice.
