A punk biker extravaganza from Gakuryu Ishii, director of cult classic Burst City 1982. A neon-soaked, chaotic tale of biker gangs and violent nationalists, the film was produced as Ishii's film school graduation project. It so impressed the Japanese studio Toei that they released the film cinemas, establishing the director as one of Japan’s most inventive young filmmakers. Once listed in acclaimed director Takeshi Kitano’s Top 10 favourite films, Crazy Thunder Road is an unmissable experience, presented here in a rare theatrical screening.
