At the centre of this eye-widening documentary is the image of a gigantic ice shelf breaking away and toppling into ice shards -- a warning of the massive and unprecedented movement of receding ice in some of the coldest parts of the world due to a warming planet. Chasing Ice follows photographer James Balog and his attempts to capture the haunting beauty of the ice and the tangible impact climate change is having on the planet.
