About
Palaeontologist David Huxley (Cary Grant) is in a state of anxiety. The long-gestating dinosaur skeleton he has been preparing remains one bone away from completion; his impending nuptials are just days away; and he desperately needs to impress a wealthy potential donor to his museum. A chance encounter with free-spirited heiress Susan Vance (Katharine Hepburn) quickly introduces a whole new level of chaos – and a leopard named Baby – into his life.
Bringing Up Baby is screwball comedy at its most madcap. Delivered fast, frenzied and forever teetering on the edge of collapse, the film is a comic explosion of quips, ribald repartee and slapstick hijinks. Grant is at his gleeful mugging best, while Hepburn shines in a performance both manic and magisterial.
Bringing Up Baby will screen from an archival 35mm print.
