About
Bob, an ex-crook, now devotes his life to his passion for gambling. Finding himself short of money, he decides to risk one last hit. In this film noir shot in the streets and cabarets of Montmartre and Pigalle, Melville captures the genre’s nocturnal ambiance and delivers a finely wrought thriller imbued with realism and poetry.
