Biophilia Live is a pulsating concert film of Björk and her ensemble as, at London’s Alexandra Palace, they conclude Björk’s multi-disciplinary multimedia tour of Biophilia. With Biophilia born out the artist’s investigation into how organic patterns influence song structure, directors Strickland and Fenton draw on visionary nature and science footage to mirror the music’s sonic structure, while ably capturing Björk’s charisma and precisely how the music is formed: whether utilising spectacular pendulums, choirs, Tesla Coils or the Sharpsichord.
