About
The final film by Iranian auteur Abbas Kiarostami, 24 Frames is a mesmerising homage to the art of looking.
Composed of 24 exquisite moments, each still image is brought to life by Kiarostami through subtle animation or digital layering, intended to capture the precious time before and after a photograph is taken. Containing reoccurring visual motifs that include windows, birds and flurries of snow, each tableau is the same length, celebrating the possibilities of visual storytelling.
