About
In conjunction with the QAGOMA exhibition, we present three important video works that address the growth and influence of surveillance in warfare – Omer Fast's 5,000 Feet is the Best 2011, Akram Zaatari's Letter to a Refusing Pilot 2013, and Harun Farocki's Images of the World and the Inscription of War 1988 – as well as a focus on filmmaker and journalist Laura Poitras. Poitras's documentaries on Julian Assange, Edward Snowden and Iraq under US occupation, offer a deeper understanding of global surveillance and its impact on everyday lives.
