Tracey Moffatt is Australia's best-known contemporary artist working across photography and video. From 1999 to 2009, Moffatt and her editing collaborator Gary Hillberg created a series of montage videos surveying the enduring dramatic modes and genres of Hollywood cinema. By re-editing and juxtaposing footage, Moffatt's montage videos create ironic commentary on the roles of mothers, servants and ideas of love, lust and revenge played out in cinema.
