Presented in conjunction with ‘American Impressionism and Realism: A Landmark Exhibition from the Met', The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

The Australian Cinémathèque will present a two-part film program reflecting life on the American East Coast at the turn of the twentieth century.

The Age of Innocence program presents an extraordinary selection of cinematic period dramas that recreate the lives of Americans on the east coast in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century as envisaged by contemporary filmmakers.

The second program, Hollywood on the Hudson, features directors and stars active in New York in the early twentieth century, when independent filmmakers attempted to escape the hegemony of Hollywood. Silent films will be accompanied by the Wurlitzer Organ.

*Tickets for The Age of Innocence film program are available from GoMA Ticket Office from 1pm-3pm daily.  Tickets to be purchased on day of screening only, advanced ticket sales not available.
