My beautiful pink polar bears 2005 comes from Scott Redford’s ongoing series of artist multiples. The first set was made in 2000 and was inspired by a ceramic figurine that he found in a Brisbane junk shop.
Redford’s bears were intended as point-of-sale merchandise for the first ‘single’ by Reinhardt Dammn and his band Honey Pump. Redford has since expanded the narrative around this fictitious artist-surfer into a script for the feature film that his Reinhardt Dammn project is based upon.
