Visit the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) to address curriculum standards and enhance the classroom experience.

Education Resource

Online education resources are available for primary and secondary students to use in the gallery and classroom. The resources include accompanying teacher notes with curriculum information.

Look Out Teacher Program

Saturday 12 May, 10.00am – 1.00pm | GOMA
Limited capacity | $20 | Suitable for all teaching levels. Join exhibiting artists, curators and education staff for a morning of interesting programs suitable for all teaching levels. Includes talks and workshops.Bookings have now closed for the 'Contemporary Australia: Women' Look Out teacher program.

Panel Discussion (Teacher exclusive )
Join Julie Ewington, Curatorial Manager, Australian Art in a discussion with artists from 'Contemporary Australia: Women' to discuss themes within the exhibition.

Artist Workshop
These sessions will be facilitated by Brisbane artists featured in 'Contemporary Australia: Women' to inspire teachers to develop ideas suitable for the classroom.

Art For Our School

A unique opportunity for a primary teacher to work with an artist from 'Contemporary Australia: Women' to create an art work for display at school. The project will be completed by July. Attend the Look Out artist workshop to learn more about the artist's practice to assist you to apply. An online application form will be available from the 21 April.

Education Group Bookings

Bookings in advance are required for groups of ten or more. To arrange a school visit to 'Contemporary Australia: Women', please contact the Education Bookings Office. While at the Gallery, your class may also enjoy viewing 'Modern Woman: Daughters and Lovers 1850–1918: Drawings from the Musée d'Orsay, Paris' at QAG.
