Charwei Tsai

From 10.00am | Saturday 5 December | Gallery 1.3, GoMA
From 4.00pm | Saturday 5 December | Maiwar Green, GoMA

Charwei Tsai draws on her interest in calligraphy and study of Buddhism, in particular the ideas of transience and impermanence. At the APT6 opening, Tsai will work with the monks from the Chung Tian Temple in Brisbane to inscribe the prajnaparamita, or Heart Sutra, onto living mushrooms, a performative aspect of the work that will echo throughout the life of the ephemeral installation. At 4.00pm she will also make her Sky Mantra using ink on mirrors on the Maiwar Green.

DAMP
